Shingai Samudzi – Managing Director
A Decision Science student at Carnegie Mellon, Shingai cut his teeth in the technology world by building an IT department from nothing for a small government contractor in Washington, DC. He then jumped into the world of the electronic medical record and medical informatics as a software designer for the Tiger Institute at the University of Missouri Hospital. He developed the original designs for ProjectVision’s ThoughtEngine over Thanksgiving 2008 as a tool to help team managers more effectively incorporate ideas of team members into decisions. By Christmas of 2011, ThoughtEngine was in alpha testing and ready to rock.
Having first met Shingai in middle school in Columbia, Missouri, Bank returned to his native Thailand in 2004. A natural entrepreneur, he studied Computer Science at Kasetsart University in Bangkok before jumping immediately into business, founding an outsource development company called Tech-Terrain and landing several large contracts in his first few years. He provides the technical leadership in the development and maintenance of ThoughtEngine.
